  Added

  • Open .md files straight from the file manager: the app now registers as a Markdown handler (text/markdown, text/x-markdown) so it appears in "Open with", and it loads the file passed on launch.
  • Single-instance behavior: opening a file while the app is already running focuses the existing window and loads the file there instead of starting a second copy.

  Fixed

  • The editor pane now stays mounted when navigating to About, so unsaved edits are no longer discarded.
  • Opening a file from the file manager no longer shows the welcome document instead of the requested file.

  • Rewrote the app on the debe/desktop-standard stack: Electron 44 + electron-vite 5 + React 19 + TypeScript 5.9.
  • Replaced the teal/indigo dark-only theme with the standard warm-gray + maroon + gold theme with system/light/dark modes.
  • Replaced the top toolbar with the standard sidebar shell (brand, navigation, theme toggle, language toggle, version footer).
  • Moved language persistence from localStorage to the main-process settings.json.
  • Replaced emoji glyphs with fixed-size stroke SVG icons from icons.tsx.
  • Migrated the test suite from node:test to Vitest.

  • Light and dark themes with a three-state system/light/dark preference.

  • Preserved all core behavior: bidirectional paragraph detection, per-paragraph manual direction markers (<!--dir: rtl|ltr -->), split/editor/preview layouts, and open/save/save-as/export.

  • اللغة الافتراضية أصبحت تتبع لغة النظام: إذا كانت لغة النظام عربية تظهر الواجهة بالعربية، وأي لغة أخرى (إنجليزية أو غيرها) تظهر بالإنجليزية. ويبقى اختيار المستخدم اليدوي محفوظاً للأفضلية.

  • فحوصات لاختيار اللغة حسب لغة النظام (32 اختبار وحدة + 33 سيناريو واجهة).
