    Added

    • Target size mode: ask for an exact output size (for example 15 MB for WhatsApp). The video
bitrate is computed from the file duration, the audio budget is subtracted, and the encoder runs a
two-pass ABR encode with peak caps. Measured accuracy: 92-94% of the requested size on both easy and
incompressible sources, so the limit is never exceeded.
    • Platform presets: WhatsApp, Telegram, YouTube 1080p, Reels/Shorts (vertical), TikTok, X,
Discord, iPhone/iPad, Android, TV, car USB, lossless archive, podcast, music and FLAC archive. One
choice sets format, quality, resolution, framing and size target. Presets are filtered by what the
file can actually produce (audio presets only for files with audio, and so on).
    • Vertical framing (9:16): centre-crops the video for Reels/Shorts/TikTok while keeping the even
      dimensions encoders require.
    • Quality measurement: compares the converted file against its source with VMAF (falling back to
SSIM, then PSNR) on a 30 second sample and shows the score in the player. Verified on the bundled
      engine: VMAF 98.03 for a size-targeted 640x360 conversion.

    Fixed

    • Two jobs converted from the same source to the same format no longer resolve to the same output
file: the collision check now also counts the paths reserved by other waiting jobs, so the second
file gets a (1) suffix instead of silently overwriting the first.
