Run directly (AppImage)

1. Download the latest release from releases.

2. Make it executable and run it:

   chmod +x gpg-key-manager-*.AppImage
   ./gpg-key-manager-*.AppImage
   

   Or if your system lacks FUSE:

   ./gpg-key-manager-*.AppImage --appimage-extract-and-run
   

Build from source

Requirements: Node.js 22+ and npm.

git clone https://git.majlis7.net/debe/gpg-key-manager.git
cd gpg-key-manager
npm install
npm run package:linux   # produces the AppImage in release/

Development

npm run dev           # run in development mode
npm test              # run the tests
npm run typecheck     # type check
npm run screenshots   # regenerate the screenshots

Where data is stored

~/.config/gpg-key-manager/
├── index.json          # key index
├── settings.json       # settings + vault state
└── keys/<id>/          # key files (secret/public/revocation)
