- The window could not be shut. The page warns before it unloads — a document that has
changed, or one that lives in the browser alone — and Electron answers that warning by
cancelling the close with nothing on screen at all, so the X button and File ▸ Quit both
left a window that only the task manager could end. The desktop shell asks natively now:
Save, Don't save or Cancel, in the interface's own language, and the answer
decides. A prompt that cannot be shown does not hold the window either — the document is
autosaved in the browser's storage, so it returns on the next launch

v0.6.1
Stablereleased this
2026-09-17 20:43:04 +00:00 | 3 commits to main since this releaseSix fixes from the upstream project. Upstream rebased its history, so these are re-applied
here rather than merged; the four interface languages it added alongside them (Spanish,
French, Russian, Portuguese) are deliberately not taken, and German stays out.Fixed
- A pasted block reaches a header, a footer or a note instead of being wrapped in a text
box. ProseMirror's own fitting has nowhere to put a block the target schema does not hold,
and both word processors paste the text as it stands (editor/paste.ts) - A shape's text carries the document language, so a reader spell-checks it in the
document's language rather than in its own locale - Whole-word search bounds a word by Unicode, not ASCII —
\bbounded no Cyrillic or
accented word before - The grammar check is disabled outside English, and the switch follows the language at the
caret: an English paragraph inside a document set to another language is still checked,
and the switch clears rather than claiming a paragraph it cannot check
Performance
- The grammar check lints in a worker, off the main thread
Tests
- The LibreOffice round trip no longer rides on the machine's locale
- The browser run asserts the grammar switch follows a paragraph's own language, in Arabic

- Cairo and Tajawal, bundled beside the Noto Naskh and Noto Sans Arabic faces, so the
picker always offers four Arabic families however little the machine has installed. All
four are OFL, with their licences beside them; a test guards each face, its file, its
licence and its place in both pickers - The desktop shell grants the Local Font Access permission, so the picker's list-all
action reaches the machine's own faces — 614 faces across 117 families here, where the
request was refused before. Clipboard read and write are granted with it, which is what
the context menu's paste needs
